Renovation & restoration — questions

Can you manage a renovation if I've never even seen the property?
Yes. We document the property with a 3D scan and floorplan before work starts, scope the project with you, and send weekly progress photos so you can follow every stage from abroad.
Do you use craftsmen who understand traditional Japanese construction?
Yes. For kominka and machiya we use trades who specialise in timber post-and-beam framing, earthen walls and tile roofs — not generic handymen.
How do you handle the renovation budget?
With pass-through invoicing and line-by-line budget tracking. You approve the scope and costs up front, and nothing beyond what you've approved is ever spent without asking first.
