福井Hokuriku
Fukui is one of Japan's quieter prefectures, home to the Zen temple of Eiheiji, the Tojinbo sea cliffs, Echizen crab and the deeply indented bays of Wakasa. Since the Hokuriku Shinkansen reached Tsuruga in 2024 it has become easier to visit, and international owners are taking a fresh look at its affordable countryside homes and the old post towns along the Saba Kaido.
Fukui winters can bring sudden, very heavy snowfalls that cut off roads and leave houses buried. For owners living abroad, MonoHaus handles the seasonal preparation, regular inspections and contractor coordination these homes need, and keeps you informed in English.

地域の特徴Local know-how
Fukui's snow often arrives in intense bursts rather than a steady build-up. Before winter we arrange roof and driveway clearing, insulate exposed pipes, and agree a plan for checking the house after a storm.
Shinkansen stations at Awara Onsen, Fukui, Echizen-Takefu and Tsuruga have made the prefecture easier to reach. If you are thinking of renting your home to visitors, we can explain the local licensing process and handle guest turnover.
