日光Kanto
Nikko's World Heritage shrines, cedar-lined avenues and the lakeside around Chuzenji have drawn visitors from abroad for well over a century, and foreign embassies once kept summer villas on the lake. Today the city also takes in the onsen resorts of Kinugawa and Yumoto, so it suits a holiday home or a guesthouse.
Nikko is reachable by Tobu limited express from Asakusa or by JR via Utsunomiya. Weekends get busy, but properties are often vacant midweek and through the winter. MonoHaus checks on Nikko homes regularly, prepares them for cold mountain winters, can run guest turnover for rentals, and reports to you in English.
対応物件What we look after
地域の特徴Local know-how
Central Nikko sits in a valley, while Chuzenji and Yumoto are much higher up, with long, snowy, freezing winters. We plan freeze protection and snow work around the altitude of each property.
Ancient cedars and frequent mist keep Nikko green but also very damp. Regular airing, mould checks and clearing moss and needles from roofs and gutters are a big part of our work here.
