香川Shikoku
Japan's smallest prefecture by area, Kagawa packs in Takamatsu, the Kotohira shrine town, and the Seto Inland Sea islands made famous by the Setouchi Triennale — Naoshima, Teshima, Shodoshima, Ogijima. International owners are often drawn by the art islands and buy small island houses or Takamatsu homes as bases. MonoHaus keeps those properties cared for while their owners are overseas, and does it in English.
The climate is dry and mild, so much so that the plain is dotted with irrigation ponds, but island homes face salt air, ferry-only access, and contractors who may need to come over from the mainland. We schedule inspections around the boats, keep island houses aired and water systems running, and coordinate the trades.

地域の特徴Local know-how
Island houses can only be reached by boat, and materials and workers must cross too. We plan visits around ferry timetables and coordinate repairs so a single trip covers as much as possible.
Kagawa's low rainfall is kind to timber, but sea spray corrodes metal fittings, shutters, and water heaters. Our routine checks focus on the coastal wear typical of Seto island living.
