群馬Kanto
Gunma is one of Japan's great hot-spring prefectures, with the steaming yubatake at Kusatsu, the stone steps of Ikaho, and Shima and Minakami tucked into the northern mountains. Its old silk industry, centred on the Tomioka Silk Mill, also left behind large farmhouses with upper floors built for raising silkworms.
Takasaki is a junction of the Joetsu and Hokuriku Shinkansen, so much of Gunma is closer to Tokyo than people expect. MonoHaus looks after Gunma onsen homes, ski-area properties and old farmhouses for owners abroad, coordinating repairs and sending photo reports in English.

地域の特徴Local know-how
Kusatsu's strongly acidic springs wear down metal pipes, fittings and appliances faster than ordinary water does. We look for corrosion on every visit and use plumbers who are used to onsen supply systems.
In winter the southern plains get the dry karakaze wind, while Minakami and the northern mountains get heavy snow. We plan winter work for each area separately, roof and fence checks in the south and snow-load and freeze protection in the north.
