箱根Kanto
Hakone is a volcanic caldera of hot springs, lake views and Fuji vistas, reached from Shinjuku on the Odakyu Romancecar. From Yumoto up to Gora and Sengokuhara, its slopes are dotted with onsen holiday homes, small ryokan and company retreats, and international owners buy them for weekend escapes or as onsen rentals.
Hakone's geothermal ground is part of its appeal and also the hardest thing about owning there: sulphurous steam, mountain humidity and very heavy typhoon rain wear buildings down quickly. MonoHaus maintains Hakone villas and their hot-spring connections, prepares them for storms, and handles the paperwork in English.

地域の特徴Local know-how
Many homes take spring water through piped supply rights with their own fees and rules. Sulphurous gases also tarnish metal fittings and wear out appliances, so we check onsen pipes, valves and baths, and track the supply contract on your behalf.
Owakudani's volcanic activity is monitored closely, and typhoons can bring torrential rain to the mountainside, as Typhoon Hagibis did in 2019. We follow official alerts, inspect slopes and drainage around your home, and check it once roads reopen.
