島根Chugoku
Shimane is myth country — Izumo Taisha, the castle town of Matsue on Lake Shinji, and the Iwami Ginzan silver-mine villages with their red-glazed roof tiles. It is also a prefecture of thinning villages and many empty houses, which is exactly why international buyers and heirs find themselves owning property here. MonoHaus manages it for them, in English.
A long, narrow prefecture facing the Japan Sea, Shimane runs from Matsue and Izumo in the east through the Iwami coast to the remote Oki Islands offshore. Houses here deal with damp lakeside air, winter storms off the sea, and long gaps between visits; we keep them ventilated, inspected, and repaired by local trades who know Iwami tile and old timber.

地域の特徴Local know-how
Many Shimane properties reach overseas owners by inheritance, with a Japanese paperwork trail to match. We handle the correspondence, utility accounts, and neighbourhood relations that keep an inherited house from becoming a problem akiya.
Lake Shinji humidity and Japan Sea winters invite mould and slipped tiles. Regular airing and post-storm roof checks are the backbone of our Shimane care.
