Tochigi covers a lot of ground, from the shrines and lakes of Nikko and the hot springs of Kinugawa to the pottery town of Mashiko, the gyoza city of Utsunomiya and the Nasu highlands. Nasu has been a summer retreat for Tokyo residents for generations, so the prefecture has a large stock of villas and holiday cottages.
Utsunomiya and Nasushiobara are both on the Tohoku Shinkansen, which makes a Tochigi second home practical to reach from Tokyo. MonoHaus covers what happens while you are away: airing and running the water, winterizing highland homes, managing holiday rentals, and keeping you updated in English.

地域の特徴Local know-how
Villas in Nasu and the Nikko mountains face freezing winters, while the plains get strong summer thunderstorms. We winterize the upland homes and check the lower ones for storm and lightning damage.
Nasu's holiday homes are often wooden houses in woodland, where damp, fallen leaves and wildlife can do real damage if nobody checks. Regular visits catch blocked gutters, mould and pest problems before they spread.
