新潟Koshinetsu
Niigata runs for a long stretch down the Japan Sea coast, from rice-paddy plains and sake towns to the ski slopes of Yuzawa and Myoko and the island of Sado. International owners come here for powder snow, resort condominiums an easy Joetsu Shinkansen ride from Tokyo, and roomy farmhouses inherited from family in the countryside.
Inland Niigata is classic yukiguni (snow country), where winters bury whole villages, and a house left alone through winter can be crushed or flooded by meltwater. MonoHaus handles roof-snow clearing arrangements, freeze protection and spring checks, and reports back in English with photos.

地域の特徴Local know-how
In the Uonuma and Joetsu areas, snow builds up on roofs until it has to be cleared by hand (yukioroshi). We arrange clearing with local contractors, check snow-melt pipes and drainage, and look for strained beams and sagging eaves once the thaw comes.
Many Yuzawa resort condominiums are older buildings with large management fees and their own association rules. We read the association notices, attend to repair levies and paperwork on your behalf, and keep the unit aired and ready between ski seasons.
