宮城Tohoku
Miyagi is Tohoku's most populous prefecture, with Sendai at its centre, the pine islands of Matsushima Bay on its coast and the Zao and Naruko hot-spring areas inland. It has a mix of city rentals, onsen-town homes and family farmhouses on the rice plains, and plenty of overseas owners hold property here.
Winters on the Pacific side are milder and less snowy than elsewhere in Tohoku, but the region does get frequent earthquakes. MonoHaus provides routine inspections, checks after significant tremors, and contractor coordination for Miyagi homes, with every report written in English.

地域の特徴Local know-how
Miyagi sits near an active offshore plate boundary. After any significant quake we check walls, foundations, roof tiles, water and gas, and send you photos so you know where things stand.
Naruko is known for its sulphurous springs, and that water is hard on pipes, fittings and metal fixtures. We keep an eye on corrosion and bring in plumbers who work on hot-spring supply lines.
