広島Chugoku
Hiroshima spans a river-delta city, the shrine island of Miyajima, and a coastline of hill towns and islands running east to Onomichi and Fukuyama. International owners hold everything from Naka-ku apartments to restored hillside houses in Onomichi, whose steep lanes have become known for akiya revival, and citrus-island homes along the Shimanami Kaido. MonoHaus manages Hiroshima city and prefecture property for owners abroad, in English.
The landscape that makes Hiroshima beautiful also makes it vulnerable. Homes on the city's steep outskirts and the prefecture's granite hillsides sit above slopes that have given way in heavy rain, most notably in 2014 and 2018, so we pay close attention to drainage, retaining walls, and the hazard maps that apply to each property.

地域の特徴Local know-how
Hiroshima's weathered-granite slopes are prone to landslides in torrential rain. Before the rainy season and after major downpours we inspect gutters, slope drainage, and retaining walls, and report anything that needs a contractor.
Onomichi homes often have no car access, and island houses depend on bridges or ferries. We plan inspections and coordinate tradespeople who are used to carrying materials up stone steps and across the water.
