用語集Glossary
A municipal listing of vacant homes for sale or rent.
Akiya banks are run by towns and cities (sometimes through a local NPO) to match empty houses with new owners or tenants. Listings are owners' homes, not the town's, and the details, viewings and any residency conditions are handled locally — usually in Japanese.
Prices can be very low, often because of the house's condition or location. Always inspect before committing.
